Simple and uncomplicated design
Simple and uncomplicated are the core values of our design philosophy.
We design fabrics for longevity, and we want to encourage and inspire to mindful consumption by ensuring that every piece we make is made to be loved and made to be worn again and again.
We believe that the main key to slow fashion down, is to make things that last longer - not only by their comfort and durability, but also by being simple, seasonless and with an uncomplicated touch of style.
We don’t care much for the traditional fashion seasons or trends.
Our collections do not come with a seasonal or trend bound expiration date, nor are they cursed by the fashion industry’s mantra of planned obsolescence when next season knocks the door.
We design our collections to go beyond ‘spur of the moment’ trends, and we lean on the saying that ‘fashions fade, but style is eternal’.

Colorful is our favorite color
We use colors and textures as the center of attraction, when we design our fabrics.
Each of our collections is given its own touch of expression by working with different weaving, knitting and finishing techniques to form a unique touch, feel and texture for each.
We have a rainbow of more than 30 colors from which we compose each of our collections.
We work with different color scales ranging from bright and saturated to pale and delicate to powerful and dark - and everything in between.
We love to work with the colors and compose harmonic and balanced rainbows both within and across the collections.
Our colors are made to match across the collections, but since different fibers, techniques and finishing methods will make the colors look different, we can’t guarantee a 100% match for all colors in all collections.

No fabric is better than the fiber it is made of
Materials matter, and thus, we carefully select the best fibers and compositions for our collections.
The main fiber contents in our collections are plant (wood) based cellulosic fibres from Austria based LENZING AG, who is renowned for their award-winning closed loop production process, high chemical recovery rates, treatment and purification of waste water and use of responsibly sourced fibers.
The wood used by LENZING AG is primarily derived from FSC® and PEFC™ certified responsible forestry. The wood is first transformed to pulp, and then to cellulosic fibers that can be spun and used for fabric.
The cellulosic fibers from LENZING AG are known for their comfort, quality, versatility and performance with outstanding moisture management and gentle feel.
We work with the following branded fibers in our collections:TENCEL™ branded lyocell fibersTENCEL™ branded modal fibersLENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibers.
To ensure practical suitability and durability, and to add properties like stretch and enhanced performance, we also work with additional fibers and blends like organic cotton, certified European flax, elastane, polyester and polyamide - but only when we believe it serves the purpose and longevity of the fabric.

The organic choice
Within our vision for mind the MAKER lies an obligation to produce fabrics as responsibly and mindful as possible. Working with GOTS certified cotton for our fabric collections is part of fulfilling that obligation.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world leading processing standard for textiles made from organically produced raw material. The GOTS certification includes strict environmental and social criteria for operations along the entire textile supply chain.
- All materials used must be of certified organic origin, and only textile products that contain a minimum of 70% organic fibers can become GOTS certified.
- All chemical substances, such as dyes and solvents, used by GOTS certified manufacturers must be approved in accordance with strict environmental and toxicological criteria established by GOTS.
- The GOTS standard also includes social criteria, by ensuring regulated working conditions, fair wages and safe and healthy work places for all workers.
- All units in the supply chain must be GOTS certified in order to produce a GOTS certified product
In our collections we offer a wide range of GOTS certified fabrics in both knitted and woven qualities, ranging from basic jersey and sweat to speciality knits, denim, corduroy, poplin and yarn dyed oxford. It means a lot to us to continue our development of GOTS certified organic cotton fabrics in order to spread both use and knowledge of certified organic cotton on our mission towards a more responsibly founded textile production.

The responsible viscose fiber
ECOVERO™ Viscose
Viscose is an extremely popular and ‘safe’ choice if you need a light fabric with a silky soft and smooth drape. In addition to a number of undeniable aesthetic properties, we love viscose for the soft comfort and breathability, which makes it very versatile and suitable for almost any garment.
For our viscose fabrics we work with ECOVERO™ Viscose as a responsibly produced alternative to conventional viscose fibers. It neither feels nor looks different from conventional viscose, but there is a big difference in the environmental footprint of the production.
ECOVERO™ viscose fibers are produced by the company Lenzing (which also produces TENCEL ™ Lyocell and Modal), and as a fiber and raw material, ECOVERO™ Viscose is an important contributor to the development of a more responsibly founded textile industry.
The ECOVERO™ viscose fiber production is designed to generate up to 50% lower emissions and 50% lower water consumption (compared to conventional viscose fiber production), and the production takes place in a closed circuit with high recycling rates for chemical material, solvents and wastewater which are extracted, purified and returned to production as a raw material.
Thus, the environmental impact from production is minimal compared to conventional viscose production.
Furthermore, only raw material (wood) from FSC® and PEFC-certified responsible forestry is used in the production.

Quality in all aspects
Quality is important to us, and we see it as one of our most crucial tasks to ensure that the quality of our fabrics is consistent with our mission to make fabrics to stand the test of time and use.
Quality to us is more than just the physical properties of a fabric, like pilling, tear resistance, shrinkage, spirality etc. Though these are important and also thoroughly tested, analyzed and considered for each collection, it is also important for us to work with the more emotional aspects of quality.
The emotional aspects of quality lies in the durability of design, colors and the overall look and feel of a fabric. It shall not only look good (on you), it must also feel good and provide the best starting point to make clothes that will be loved, used and last for a long time.
The quality of a perfect match is another aspect, we work with. Our fabrics are made to match across all our collections, where we work with a palette of around 25 colors. This makes it easy and hassle free to find a matching rib for your sweat or a matching twill for trousers to wear with your shirt.
Last, but certainly not least, we work with quality in all aspects of design, production, packaging, sales and distribution. It’s important for us that things are done properly and with a conscious mindset, where our values are reflected in every step of the chain.
